About Us

Who writes this guide, how the information is checked and what the editorial team does not do.

What this site is

Athlete Advance is an independent editorial guide to sports scholarships and education. We explain how the system works — eligibility, academic thresholds, recruiting timelines and the documents a family is usually asked for — so that a decision about a scholarship is made with information rather than hope.

Who writes it

An editorial team, not an agency. None of us sits on a selection committee, coaches a university team or works for a funding body. That distance is deliberate: it keeps the text descriptive instead of persuasive.

What we do not do

  • We do not award scholarships and we do not take part in selection.
  • We do not run scouting, filming or player representation.
  • We do not process applications or forward documents to institutions.
  • We do not promise places on teams, visas, funding or admission.

How we work

Every guide starts from a public source: a university admissions page, a federation regulation, a conference rulebook or an official scholarship call. When a number depends on the institution — a minimum GPA, a test score, a deadline — we say so and point to where it is published, instead of freezing one institution's threshold as a general rule.

How to read the site

Country pages describe how the system is organised in one place. Scholarship pages explain the types of awards and what they typically cover. Sports pages deal with training paths and how a coach evaluates a candidate. Nothing here replaces the official call you are applying to.

Corrections and additions are welcome — the contact page explains how to send them. Our editorial standards are on the editorial policy page.

Read carefully. A sports scholarship is an opportunity, not a promise. Awards, admission and team places are decided by the institutions and programmes themselves: no guide, service or fee can guarantee funding, a contract or a professional career. Always confirm requirements and deadlines directly with the school or programme you are applying to.
